No to abandonment: woman spent 35 thousand dollars to travel with her elderly dog to another country
Dogs become a member of the family that bring protection, joy and unconditional love. However, the mobility of the pet was not easy because due to her old age she had to travel in a place that would not cause any risk to her. The dog named Karta is a border collie and is 15 years old. Initially, Maggie and her husband thought it best to leave Karta in Hong Kong with one of their friends. However, when they evaluated all the variables, they realized that this option was not viable. Karta needs them to be well and they need the company of their pet to feel complete and happy. That is how they made the decision to take her with them. However, they knew that they would not accept Karla on a commercial flight because carrying her in the hold could lead to a fatal outcome due to her health condition.
The couple chose the option of traveling with her on a private flight that cost them 35 thousand dollars. However, for them it was not an impediment because they affirmed that the company and welfare of their dog was worth more than any amount of money. In addition, the private flight gave them the possibility to reassure Karta and avoid moments of anguish. Because of this, they could keep an eye on the animal’s health at all times and continue to provide her with the care she required. The family said they had made the right decision because the family was able to remain together and surrounded by special affection. They also said that the money had been no pain because in time they could get it back.
