One day, Dad called me into his room: he said we needed to talk about something serious. Honestly, I was a bit worried. There was a woman waiting for me in the living room.

Hey, I wanted to share something personal with youjust talking it out casually. So, my family really revolves around my dad. Hes the one who raised me, looked after me, and was always there, no matter what. My mum left us just after I was born, and my dad decided never to marry again, probably because he couldnt face that kind of heartbreak twice.

Life hasnt exactly been easy for him. I always felt this urge to grow up faster so I could help him out with everything, you know, just lighten his load because hes had so much responsibility on his shoulders.

Money was pretty tight when I was younger, so I started working at 15. I wrote articles for local newspapers and, after three years, managed to land a better job. Then, a few years on, I got an office job that finally meant I could support both myself and Dad independently.

One day, Dad called me for what he said would be a serious talkhonestly, I felt a bit anxious. When I walked into the sitting room, there was a woman waiting there. Dad explained that she was my mum.

As soon as she saw me, she burst into tears, apologized, and tried to hug me. But I just couldnt bring myself to hug her back. Gently, I pulled away and left the room without saying anything, leaving the two of them alone. I decided to let Dad handle things however he thought best. I just cant forgive someone who abandoned us so thoughtlessly, and never even bothered with a birthday wish all these years.

Anyway, just needed to get that off my chestthanks for listening.
