Teacher Refused to Allow a Girl to Use the Bathroom

Earlier this year, I dropped by one of my old secondary school classes. During the lesson, a girl asked the teacher if she could go to the loo, but he denied her request. She politely asked again, but the teacher still refused.

A few minutes passed, and she explained that it was urgent, but he continued to deny her permission. The teacher was clearly annoyed, so when the girl tried once more, about five minutes later, saying she really needed to go due to an emergency, the teacher said, quite sternly, “No.” At that point, she stood up, her face flushed with embarrassment as every eye in the room turned to her. She spoke directly to the teacher, in front of everyone, saying shed started her period and genuinely needed to use the toilet.

The class stared, surprised, and there was a tense silence. Instead of relenting, the teacher told her to sit down and still wouldnt let her leave. Everyone felt awkward, but then this lad, sporty lookinglike he could be the school football captainstood up and said, Do you have a wife? Didnt you grow up with a mum or a sister? Shes got her period and needs the loo, and shes going to go, whether you allow it or not.

He walked over, took her by the hand, and led her out to the toilets. When they returned, the teacher accused them both of being disrespectful and had a proper go at the boy. Its a day I wont forget.

That footballer turned out to be a far wiser man than the teacher ever was.
