The event occurred in Pasaje canton, in the province of El Oro, in southern Ecuador, and has attracted attention for the unusual way in which the man went down to take the dog. In the images, it can be seen that the man is inside a shovel of a backhoe that was used to work in the middle of a water channel when he managed to stop the dog that was coming upstream. At one point, the dog crashed against the mechanical shovel and it seemed that all the effort to save him had failed, however, when the dog rebounded, the worker managed to hold him and after a brief effort, he was held and taken to dry land.
