In summer, you can often meet a trainee conductor on a train. Since these “specialists” are still quite inexperienced, all sorts of curious situations happen while traveling. Exactly such an incident was told to me by a friend. I was on my way home. I was given a vacation, so I went to visit my relatives. I had the tickets in my hands. It seemed that the way back would pass without incident.
I boarded at night. The train only stopped for a few minutes in the village. A family of 4 people got on the train with me. The conductor quickly checked the tickets and directed us to the wagon. I went into the compartment, and all the other passengers were already asleep. I quietly spread my linen and also fell asleep. But just an hour later I woke up to a loud whisper. The train was standing. A young conductor was trying to solve some problem.
When she saw that I was awake, she said:
– Show me your ticket, please. You are sleeping in someone else’s seat.
I showed my ticket. There was a woman standing next to me who also had a ticket for that seat. The conductor went to the head of the train. He looked at the tickets for a long time, and then said to me:
– Woman, you have a ticket for yesterday’s train. The 15th.
After that I also got a young conductor, who put me on the train. I sniffed my nose and started packing. I got to the next station in the conductor’s compartment, and then the train manager helped me buy a ticket at the ticket office. Since then I always carefully check not only the time of departure, but also the date.
