**Diary Entry 12th April**
The doctors led the dog into the room so he could say goodbye to his owner. Yet once inside, the dog did something that stunned them all.
They guided him quietly to the bedside of his suffering owner, expecting a solemn farewell. But the moment the dog saw her, his behaviour shifted completely.
They feared he sensed the gravity of the momentthen suddenly, he let out a loud bark and, as if forgetting the sorrow, leapt onto the bed beside her, tail wagging wildly. It felt like an ordinary reunion, not a final goodbye.
The room fell silent as everyone exchanged glances, realising this might be their last shared minute. But then, someone noticed a glimmer of hope in the dogs eyescould miracles truly happen?
Just as the doctors moved to take him away, an odd noise cut through the air, shifting the atmosphere entirely. They turned towards the soundand what they saw left them speechless.
PC Emily, who had lain motionless until then, weakly lifted her hand, reaching for her dog. Sensing her touch, he nuzzled gently against her chest. The doctor checked her pulsehis expression shifting in disbelief.
“Shes responding,” he whispered, barely containing his shock.
Her family watched, breathless, as a faint but unmistakable light returned to her eyes. Moments before, hope had vanishedyet the love of her loyal companion had defied the impossible.
No one could explain what happened that day. But one thing was clearthis wasnt the end.
