Tina is an elderly woman. She is not like other grandmothers, any girl would envy her. Tina’s day was scheduled by the hour, she is an activist in life.
Tina is a widow, living alone with her memories of her husband in her spacious two-room apartment. The woman has a son Jeremy, who lives separately from his mother, he has his own family. The son and his family often visit his mother, leaving the children with their grandmother for a while. Tina loves her son and grandchildren very much, but the relationship with her daughter-in-law did not work out.
Lisa, Jeremy’s wife, is very hot-tempered by nature. The daughter-in-law is constantly looking at the apartment of her mother-in-law, always persuading her to sell the apartment and buy a better house for them, to which Tina refuses. That is why their relationship did not work out.
On Friday evening, Jeremy and Lisa brought the children to Tina’s house and stayed for tea. The children played in the room while the adults sat in the kitchen. Jeremy was concerned about whether his mother would be able to sit with the children, whether it would be too much for her. Tina replied that it was not difficult for her, to which Lisa snorted and got up from the table under the pretext of seeing what the children were doing. Jeremy immediately noticed his mother’s upset face. The boy apologized for Lisa’s bad tone and Tina reassured her son, saying that she was not offended by her daughter-in-law.
The children left. Saturday was fun. In the evening Tina took a book and the children sat down to draw. The woman dozed off because of fatigue, but suddenly her granddaughter woke her up. She woke her up to show her the picture she had drawn. But Tina literally turned pale from what she saw, she asked her granddaughter where she got these leaves, the granddaughter replied that she found them in a small box.
It turned out that these were not just leaves, but letters from Tina’s late husband. The woman clearly remembered that she was hiding the box and the children could not get it, she constantly thought that it was the work of her daughter-in-law. Soon the truth came out, Lisa really did it. Jeremy was furious at this news. His mother was upset, but soon she thawed out and recalled the story with a laugh, saying that those leaves were now twice as precious to her.
