This is what I did to teach our neighbor a lesson, since she never took her trash to their trash cans.
I turned 58 this year. I’ve lived in this house my whole life, so I’m very familiar with all the neighbors. A young girl from Victoria recently moved in with us. She was probably around 25 years old. I live on the top floor, so I can see everything that goes on outside.
I watched this little girl run to the shuttle bus and leave her trash bags at the corner of her house for more than a month. Stray dogs and cats would then tear up the bags, making it dirty right next to our house. I thought it was gross, and I quickly got tired of it. Then I decided to show her how wrong she was.
I knew where her apartment was, of course. One day, she left the trash bag on our corner, just like she did every day. I felt lazy, so I got dressed. I left my apartment after that. I took the bag and put it by the door of that girl.
This worked like a charm. Everything was clear to the little girl. She doesn’t leave her bag at the corner of the house anymore. She gets up five minutes earlier and takes her trash to the trash can.
She was very smart and empathetic, which I really liked. It’s not a good idea to pollute where you live.
