So, let me tell you what happened. One day, I was in Simons jacket pocket, just about to do the washing, and I found these two vouchers for a sea cruise. On one of them, there was another womans name printed quite clearly.
You know, I actually met Simon at a bus stop. I lost my keys while I was rummaging through my bag for my purse. It was getting gloomy outside, and I really couldn’t spot the keys anywhere. Simon helped me look, and I was so grateful. Turns out, we were waiting for the same bus anyway.
He walked me home that night, and we started seeing each other after that. Before longsix months, actuallywe got married. Simon always said it was love at first sight for him. We had a great life together for a good three years.
Then Simon landed a new job, and I started to notice some changes in him. At first, I kept my mouth shut, thinking maybe I was just imagining things. Everything stayed quiet on the surface, until Simon told me hed have to go on a business trip for a fortnight.
So, he went off to take a shower, and I thought Id chuck his trousers in the wash. Thats when I found those two cruise tickets. One was in my name, but the other had some girl’s name I’d never heard of. Hed cheated on me, just completely tossed aside all the trust and love Id given him.
I was furious. Honestly, heartbroken as well, because I really did love him and trust him so much. I decided I needed to get my own back, but I didnt say a word to Simon. Instead, I rang up my old school friend, Georgeweve always got onand asked if hed help me out. So, George and I went to the same place Simon had planned to go with his little girlfriend. We pretended to be a couple.

And you know what? Turns out Lucythe girl whose name was on the ticketwas standing right there too. She looked absolutely stunned. Turns out, Simon hadnt even told her he was married. He betrayed her as well as me.
Simon and I got divorced pretty quickly after that. I just couldnt forgive him for what hed done.
