The Woman Took a Seat in the Back Row and Realised Her Son Had Outgrown It.

The woman settles into the rear seat and immediately notices that her son wont fit.

My husband, our two boys and I are on holiday in England, and one afternoon we find ourselves in an uncomfortable situation.

We have booked a daytrip that takes us to a handful of sites that cant be reached on foot, so we set aside a day of our vacation for it.

We purchase four tickets, each guaranteeing us a dedicated seat. As we board the coach, a plump woman carrying a toddler steps on after us. She squeezes between the rows, then sits in the back and realises her child cannot squeeze into the seat. She stands up and looks for another free spot for her boy.

She glances at our skinny lads and decides to place her son beside them.

My husband stops her, saying we paid for those seats and theres no reason to force the children around. The woman refuses to back down and even starts arguing with the tour guide. She tries to convince us that we ought to make room for other passengers, suggesting we abandon the tour and claim refunds. A few other tourists join in, teasing us about taking selfies.

Our children eventually shift their positions so the trip can continue, while the driver waits for the dispute to settle. The atmosphere is clearly ruined.

I wonder: are we in the right? Why should my kids have to travel cramped when I bought them tickets? What do you think?
