Sophie gave birth to her daughter when she was just 15, still in Year 10 at secondary school. For over five years, she kept the father’s identity a closely guarded secret. Sophie’s mum found out about the pregnancy quite late as her daughter had always been rather well-built. Concerned about Sophies sudden and significant weight gain, her mother took her to an endocrinologist, where the truth was finally revealed. She was shocked and furious, having raised her daughter on her own, and suddenly found herself with a granddaughter at such an early age.
Sophie firmly refused to reveal the father’s name and avoided any questions about him, causing a stir at school. Despite all this, Sophie pushed forward and overcame the challenges. Her daughter was born during the summer holidays, and Sophie’s mother took a leave from work to care for her new granddaughter.
