The Parable: “Three Perspectives on One Situation”
One afternoon, three women stand by a stall at the market, eyeing a display of apples.
The first sighs heavily:
“Look how small and bruised they are… And the price is daylight robbery! Nothing decent left these days. The world’s going to the dogs.”
The second smiles warmly:
“I think this year’s harvest is a real blessing. The weather’s been dreadful, yet these apples—though not perfect—are juicy. The farmers must have worked hard.”
The third silently opens her purse:
“My grandson’s poorly at home. He adores baked apples. Couldn’t care less how they look—just needs them made with love.”
Moral:
We all see the world through our own story.
To one, it’s a pile of bad apples.
To another, a chance to support someone’s labour.
And to a third, a way to show care and warmth.
Before you judge—ask yourself where your heart stands.
