When people mention pets, you usually think of dogs and cats. But you’ve probably never heard the phrase “donkeys are man’s best friend” because it’s rare for people to keep these animals as pets.
However, the true meaning of love doesn’t lie in the species but in the understanding that the bond of friendship and devotion between a person and their pet is what truly matters. Because of this, a man and a donkey became the best of friends!
Little Walter was adopted by a family in Oatman, Arizona, where he grew up alongside his human brothers and three German Shepherds, from whom he learned a great deal. He picked up many of their behaviors, which is why he acts so much like a dog. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.
Walter quickly adapted to his new home with his loving family and animal siblings. Right after being adopted, he started imitating his German Shepherd siblings—wagging his tail in excitement, relaxing and enjoying life just like them, and even jumping on his father’s head!
Walter’s human dad, Brad Blake, said, “We never imagined how much Walter would change our lives for the better!”
The bond of love and devotion has grown incredibly strong. The donkey is overjoyed when he receives love, something he never thought he would experience.
It’s so wonderful to see him this happy. Just keep him happy and always keep him close, because he must love you so much to feel this way 😊❤️😘
