Alina was born into a very conservative family. Her parents attended a religious sect, which greatly influenced their outlook on life. It was the twenty-first century, but they believed that their daughter should not be allowed to wear short skirts, paint her nails, or wear makeup. Alina’s mother did not like her eldest son for that. William was her main value and lived in an environment of permissiveness. Since childhood, she had been telling him that he could do anything, and that he had to take care of and raise his sister. The boy took his mother’s words very seriously.
He kept an eye on his sister and did not let her take a single step without his knowledge. Any little thing could be a reason for him to raise his hand against his sister. The parents even approved of physical abuse. The girl felt locked in a cage and did not know what to do. She was not even allowed to have friends. But she had many obligations at home. She had to do the housework, cook for everyone, do the laundry and clean. When she was fifteen, a misfortune happened. Her brother was in an accident and could not be saved. Her mother went a little crazy with grief. The girl was crying too, because she loved her brother in spite of everything.
However, what happened gave her some freedom. She made some friends. But the pressure from her parents still did not disappear. She could have been scandalized for buying a blouse that was too bright. The girl had no warm feelings towards her parents. They denied her the right to be a separate person and demanded that she live by their laws. Dialogue was out of the question, and any attempt to explain resulted in shouting and violence. When Alina came of age, she found a job and ran away from her parents’ home. Now she is a very successful photographer. She does not communicate with her parents.
