Rebecca is a math teacher. She was going to celebrate the birthday of her beloved friend and colleague Yulia: they worked together at the school for almost 40 years. Rebecca woke up early and started getting ready. She ironed her favorite blouse with a skirt. She got dressed, but it had recently rained outside – and there were puddles all around. Rebecca went to the store, bought a cake and flowers for her friend. Leaving the store, she started walking along the sidewalk. And then a car, driven by a blonde woman, rushed past. She stopped 10 meters away.
The blonde drenched poor Rebecca and flowers with cake with splashes from puddles. – Grandma, where are you going so dressed up? It’s late, all grandmothers should be at home at this time. -I had important things to do! Shame on you! -What’s to be ashamed of? For the fact that you do not understand where you are walking, you walked near the puddle yourself, it’s your fault.
Then a respectable man in a suit came out of the building. The blonde immediately changed her face and stretched her smile. -“What happened here?” the man asked.
-“Mark, my grandmother climbed under the car, now she blames me.
-Mark, is that you?
-Rebecca, how nice to see you!” And then the man hugged his favorite math teacher.
He realized that the blonde woman – his secretary – was driving carelessly past the grandmother herself. He made her apologize. She reluctantly said “sorry”, and then Mark fired the rude blonde. The former student helped the teacher to get home, waited for her to change clothes and bought new flowers and a big cake for Yulia. So the two of them went to celebrate the birthday.
