Son-in-law lives on everything ready-made and still makes his own rules!

From a young age, my husband and I decided that we wanted to live in our house as a large family in our old age, so we spent many years of work and life building it. And now we have an adult daughter who has moved in with us to live with her husband! Dreams come true – I might have thought!

Our Monika was already 25 years old when she brought Mark to us to meet us. We didn’t treat him very well, but we didn’t turn our noses up at him, because it was her choice.

The fact is that over the years, the four of us (we still have a younger son) have developed certain traditions. For example, I used to hang a new towel in the bathroom every day, so that everyone could wipe their faces and hands. My son-in-law said that he would not use it and hung his three towels next to each other – for face, hands, and body… In addition, we have a lot of slippers that are stored in one big one. And we had a tradition that we could choose the color of the slippers that we liked today. The first one to choose is the one who comes home first. When my son-in-law started living with us, he said that now the green ones belonged only to him, and Monika only to the yellow ones, as if it was the right thing to do.

My husband and I are frankly annoyed by this, because he lives on everything ready-made and still makes his own rules! My husband and I pay for utilities, repairs, and food, and they do it too, but rarely, so you could say that they live for their own pleasure. And with all this, he still manages to turn his nose up and say that he doesn’t like something else.

But we don’t want to quarrel with Monika because of this, and what if we ruin their family, and they could have had a happy life…

Yesterday, my son-in-law told me that he had chosen his own kitchen appliances and now no one else has the right to use them! My last nerve cells are on the verge of collapse and I don’t know how to put up with it anymore, because my heart tells me that this is not the end!
