Sharing my experience at a major hospital in Lagos.

I went to the hospital when I was 14 weeks pregnant with my last pregnancy. My scan revealed that everything was fine, and that my heartbeat was normal.

I was told that I would see the clinic in one month. The heartbeat had stopped when I returned to the clinic. My infant was gone.

The doctor advised me to get out of the hospital immediately, but I refused.

I went to a scan center two days later and received the same result. I then left for the evacuation. Before the baby died, I had to go through three days of labor. I suffered from severe blood loss. Although there were many things that happened, God was merciful. I’m here. His name is to be praised.

I started to feel back ache. I was asked to take a kidney function test at the nearest hospital. It was successful.

My husband suggested that I visit the hospital where the evacuation occurred once more. It was the worst mistake of my life.

A physician suggested that I have a scan at the same hospital. The results showed that my kidneys were infected. They began immediately providing care. The bill is all I can mention.

When the treatment began, the pain became worse. I could not do anything. They informed me when I returned to the hospital that intravenous injections would be given. Hell, I saw.

I stopped seeking treatment as I was not getting better. It was actually getting worse. When they called me, I declined to take the last injections.

They don’t give medications without a prescription so I took the report to a big drugstore. I was then given medication for 15 days. They instructed me to go back.

After fifteen days, I returned. I felt the discomfort for a while.

One of the staff advised me to ignore the hospital report because it didn’t seem like I had the kidney infection as detailed in the report. I was questioned by her and she advised me to have an ulcer test. I went right away and found out that the ulcer was what had been bothering my stomach.

I was prescribed ulcer medication and told to stop eating certain foods while making sure that I ate all the food. After several months, I was able to regain my health. As of now, God has finished my healing. Since many of the medications I was given were not appropriate for me as an ulcer patient, I am grateful that I was able to survive the hospital. My suffering only got worse.
