It is unusual to see a seagull not flying away when it sees a possible danger, because this seagull indeed did not care about being at risk of being eaten, it has depression and wants to die? or what is the reason for this strange behavior, well here we explain. A mysterious visitor has been hanging out in the waters off Hammerfest, Norway, for the past few months. It is a beluga whale, which some believe was trained by the Russian military, from which it apparently defected.

The whale had appeared in a harness and a group of fishermen and marine biologists released her, but she continued to swim nearby. Despite her alleged background in covert operations, the beluga has proven to be very outgoing and cuddly. She was nicknamed “Russian Spy Beluga”. Previously this beautiful whale made news when a girl accidentally dropped her cell phone into the sea and the intelligent creature pulled it out of the depths to return it to her.

Recently, Jan-Olaf Johansen, was walking near the Hammerfest boardwalk when he spotted the beluga whale with a fascinating and very adorable behavior. On the surface of the water was a seagull that had piqued the interest of the whale, which seemed determined to befriend it.
“I kept trying to play with the seagull. What surprised me was how friendly it was. It was very special to see.” Johansen told The Dodo.
In the amusing footage captured by a witness in Hammerfest Bay, the sea animal can be seen approaching the bird and nudging it with its mouth. Then, it offers it a delicious treat: a fish. Although the seagull did not seem to want to reciprocate the whale’s friendly treatment, it did not feel threatened by its proximity. After a while, the bird flew away, leaving the whale eager to be her friend.
Since the beluga whale appeared on the site, some people had been worried that it could not take care of itself, assuming that it had actually been trained by humans. But, according to Johansen, who sees the whale from time to time, she seemed fine, and is also having a good time. He said:
“She looks very healthy. And very playful.”
