All her life Sandra lived in the village. She was brought up by her mother. During her last year of school she fell in love with Richard. He was the most prominent boy in the village, coming from a wealthy family. Sandra fell in love with the tall handsome man with all her heart, dreaming of a happy family and a common future. After graduating from school, Richard went to the city to enter the university. She hoped that he would return and they would get married.
After his departure, she discovered that she was pregnant. She could not contact the guy in any way, so she went to his parents. Richard’s parents did not even let her on the threshold. They said she got pregnant by someone unknown, and now they were going to blame the child on their son. They threatened to disgrace her in the village if she did not leave in a good way. They had their own ideas about Richard’s future, and the orphaned girl did not fit into their plans.
Sandra gave birth to a daughter, whom she named Kate. From mutual friends she learned that Richard had settled in the city, building a successful career. Her mother helped Sandra with the child, and when she was gone, it became much harder for her. She worked in a shop and at the same time brought up her daughter.
As a child, Kate was very attached to her mother, but as she grew up, she somehow drifted away. More and more often she disappeared with her friends. Sandra was worried about her, but did not restrict her daughter. Kate did not like life in the village, she wanted to go to the city.
After school, she entered a college in the city and moved into a dormitory. Sandra was very sad without her, hoping that her daughter would return to her. However, after graduation, Kate found a job and began to rent an apartment with her friends.
And six months later she announced that she was getting married. Sandra was very happy for her daughter and asked for details. Kate shared that her chosen one is a rich man. She asked her mother not to come to the wedding, promising to send photos. Sandra was offended, but did not show it.
Years went by. Kate gave birth to a son. She rarely communicated with her mother, sometimes even did not pick up the phone on purpose when she called. Sandra once got ready and came to visit her daughter and see her grandson. Kate did not like it, she shamed her mother for looking poor, allowed her to look at her grandson only a glimpse and escorted her out of the door.
Sandra was very hurt by this incident. She cried a lot, and then decided to pull herself together and change. She started to dress better and take care of herself. Soon fate brought her together with a good man who soon asked her to marry him. They began to live in his house.
Kate appeared three years later. She tearfully begged her mother to accept her and help her. Sandra allowed her to live in her house, which was empty after her marriage, but said that her daughter should not count on much help.
