– Sam, I had a terrible day at work today because of you! – Sara came home indignantly and began to take off her coat.
-What happened, Sara? What is it?” her husband asked worriedly.
Sara quickly went to the kitchen, sat down at the table and propped her forehead with her hands.
– I’m so angry, and even worse, I’m cold,” Sara said quietly, not looking up.
Sam immediately set the table, and put on a plate of fried potatoes, which he made especially for Sara.
– So what happened to you, and what is my fault?” the man began cautiously.
– It’s all your fault, Sam. Remember what you said to me this morning?
– I wished you a good day, as always.
– And before that, what did you tell me?
– That it was gonna be sunny, but then it started raining. It’s not my fault, the TV said it would be clear. Did you get caught in the rain?
– No, I managed to run. But it’s not the weather, think about it.
-I didn’t say anything bad to you. You tell me, what is it?
– The thing is that my boss called me to his office today. He said that I should be promoted to a higher position, and appointed me head of the department. And you told me this morning that I deserve more at work.
– That’s great, Sara, you got promoted!
– No, Sam, it’s not great. I hate bossing people around. How will I cope with this? And then there’s more work, and who’s gonna feed the kids?
– Well, in case you haven’t noticed, I fried those potatoes you’re mashing right now. So I will feed our children and teach them to cook. After all, they are not little anymore. You will spend more time at work, but at your favorite job, which you like. And the fact that you do not like to manage people, you will not tell them, but give recommendations, they will do everything themselves. Everyone loves you at work, there will be no problems.
– Oh, Sam, thank you for your support, I feel calmer now.
