I couldn’t even imagine that such a situation could happen to me. I couldn’t even realize who I had been living with all these years.
I met Richard when I was fifteen. He was 17 at that time. We got married 5 years later and I got pregnant within a year. Richard was very happy when our daughter was born. He paid maximum attention to her and started working even more.
My husband bought a large two-bedroom apartment, and our daughter was a real princess to him. He took her to day care and to all the activities. They often went for walks together and just watched cartoons. My family was perfect, but one day everything changed dramatically.
When I was pregnant for the second time, there was a knock on our door. There was a girl standing on the doorstep with a baby in her arms. I stepped back and invited her in. She looked about 20 years old. It turned out that her name was Inna and she was 19. Inna was my husband’s second woman.
Two weeks ago she gave birth to a son and decided to dot all the I’s and cross all the T’s. She told me they had been together for two years, but Inna wasn’t going to give up that easily. I called Richard and told him to come over. His answer stunned me:
– Girls, we used to live so well. Let everything stay like this. I will not change anything. I don’t want to break up, but I won’t leave Inna either.
I did not want to put up with it. With tears in my eyes I packed his suitcase. When I threw him out the door, he threw after me:
– “Darling, you’ll be sorry. This apartment is registered in my name, so you and your children will have to move into your old apartment on the outskirts of town. Do not even count on alimony, my official salary is minimal. Now think about how you’re going to survive with all this.
I could not believe that these words were coming from the man I had loved all these years.
I was sure now that I didn’t want my children to grow up around him. Richard left with Inna, and I packed up my and my children’s things and went to my apartment.
There was no time for tears. Richard quickly filed for divorce, and I spent the last of my money on a good lawyer. By the way, the specialist coped with his duties, because the apartment was left to me and the children. I did not even file for alimony.
Seven years later I got married for the second time. He is radically different from Richard, he is a wonderful man. By the way, it turned out that Inna only needed money from my ex, and when he was left without an apartment, she kicked him out. He tried to go back to my place, but he couldn’t sit on two chairs, especially after what he told me.
Would you take Richard back?
