… In connection with the pregnancy, doctors persistently suggested that Patricia go on maternity leave. Unable to convince her, they insisted that she at least not lift heavy things…
Patricia became pregnant five years after her marriage. Until then, all her attempts to have a child were unsuccessful. Her husband earned well, so the girl was engaged only in household chores.
This circumstance was often used by her sister-in-law Gloria. The disorderly mother asked to sit with one or the other of her children. She asked for an hour, and, at best, took the child after five.
And once she brought her youngest, nine-month-old daughter without diapers and food. She left the child and ran away. It was good that the neighbors had a child of the same age. Patricia asked them for everything she needed for the baby.
A month ago, Gloria, as usual, brought the younger girl to Patricia. She said she had to go to her friend’s wedding, and her mother-in-law had a backache. But Patricia said that doctors forbade her to lift heavy things, and she would have to lift a one and a half year old baby anyway, so she categorically refused.
Gloria could not think of anything better than to leave her daughter under the care of her ten-year-old son… But something went wrong with the girl, the boy panicked, could not get through to his mother and in tears ran to the neighbors.
The neighbors came, called an ambulance and the police. Everything ended safely with the girl. But not with Gloria and her husband.
The guardianship service deprived them of parental rights for six months. The children were taken to the shelter… The mother-in-law blames Patricia for everything, she does not even want to hear any arguments.
And after the birth of a son in their family, she regularly sets up guardianship authorities against her daughter-in-law and son.
– I will crawl out of my skin, but your child will feel what a shelter is, – she says. After several commissions from the guardianship authorities, Patricia told her husband:
– I’m leaving this city to go to my parents. Choose whether you come with us or we divorce…
