My father abandoned me and my mother, left us homeless and did not even pay alimony, and now he has reappeared and asks for help

The two-room apartment in which I lived with my father and mother was privatized for the three of us, in equal shares. When I was twelve years old, my father left me with my mother and went to another woman. He left with the ends. He did not pay alimony, because my mother did not apply for it, and he did not want to help me with anything. In general, he forgot about my existence. When I turned fifteen, a boy and a girl came to our house and demanded to vacate one room, as it was given to them by my father. When my mother called and asked him:

“Why?”, he replied: “Mark is like my family. Not wanting to live in a communal apartment, my mother sold the apartment, gave Mark one third of the proceeds, and bought a two-room apartment in the hotel for the rest. To help my mother with the repayment of the loan, I also went to work, postponing my studies for many years. Two years ago my mother passed away, and I have one more year to pay off the loan. Three weeks ago my father called me and asked for a meeting. As it turned out, his new wife drove him away. And now old, sick, with a small pension, he was not needed by anyone. His income is not enough for rent and he has no roof over his head.

Now he decided to ask me for help. I was looking at him and wondering to myself whether he was being rude or stupid. Does he hope that after twenty years of not remembering about me, not coming, not calling, not helping me with money, actually taking away my apartment, depriving me of the opportunity to study, and driving me into the inner struggle, I will welcome him with open arms?! – Do you think you are worthy of pity? Perhaps. But certainly not mine! You’ve done more for your Mark than you have for me. Go cry to him. Maybe he’ll take you in. And forget about me and my address forever. You never had and never will have a daughter!
