My Ex-Wife Tried to Sue Me for Half the House, but She Never Expected That I Had Already Planned for Everything

My relationship with my ex ended in a courtroom. I wont say who was at faulttruth be told, in every relationship the blame is shared.
The reality is that my second wife ended up finding herself a loveran affluent businessman who settled here years ago and eventually opened a little café in our town. She tried to keep their affair secret at first, but before long they werent even bothering to hide it.
Eventually, she confronted me directly, telling me she was filing for divorce and intended to claim half of our house. She expected Id get anxious or upset, but the house had been bought solely with my own honest earnings. My ex-wife had no real claim to it, except the two years she lived there. Now she had the audacity to demand half.
I managed to stay calm through it all. I didnt try to talk her out of going to courtjust waited patiently for her to lose the case and pay the legal fees. Id had negative experience already with my first marriage; that saga dragged out in court for over three years, thanks to our inability to settle things between us. Every meeting in the courtroom ended with drama.
My first ex-wife eventually got what she wanteda good solicitor helped her, and she managed to take half of my assets. She even left me without the flat Id inherited from my father.
But things were different with my second wife. Id learned from experience. Before marrying her, I already owned a flat in London, which I renovated myself, but it was registered in my brothers namehes the only person I trust without reservation. So, when divorce came around, it turned out I had nothing for her to claim. After the failure of my first marriage, Id become savvy enough that no woman would ever trick me again.
