Miranda was sitting in a cafe eating her favorite cakes before work. At the table opposite sat two friends who were discussing some girl on the Internet:
– “Look at her chin, it’s horrible.
– Okay, the chin is fine, but the nose is a disaster, how is she not ashamed to leave the house and take pictures.
Because of these comments Miranda remembered her childhood. She remembered how her mother used to say to her father: “Our Miranda may not be beautiful, but she can be smart”. And then Miranda had to spend all her childhood reading books, her mother wanted to make a prodigy out of her daughter. When Miranda went to the institute, she realized that she would never become as elegant and feminine as her classmates, so she studied well at the direction of her mother to be loved for her intelligence.
Miranda’s friend went on a business trip and asked her to take care of the cat and flowers, because her husband often forgot to water the flowers or feed the cat. So Miranda left the cafe and went to her friend’s apartment. She went home, fed the sleepy cat and began to water the flowers. She remembered a nice song, started humming it and then dancing. She did not notice how her friend’s husband appeared on the doorstep with his friend Oliver. Miranda got confused, tripped over the cat and hit her head.
She woke up in the hospital. The doctor calmed her down, said that Miranda had a sprain and a slight concussion.
On the table near her bed was a large bouquet of white flowers, and next to it was a package. Miranda opened the package and it contained fruit and her favorite cakes. Miranda thought it was from her friend’s husband, but no. There was a note in the flowers, it was from Oliver. He invited her on a date as soon as Miranda was discharged from the hospital. So Miranda had faith in herself and her future.
