Look at Her… She Thinks She’s Going to Be Someone. Poor Thing, with That Attitude.

*”Look at her thinks shes going to amount to something. Poor thing, with that tatty old briefcase.”* Emily heard the whispers as she tightened her grip on the worn leather. It wasnt designer, nor new, but to her, it carried the weight of her future. She dreamed of being an entrepreneur, though she had no home, no savings, not even a proper place to sleep.
One day, she caught wind of an event in London where top business minds would share ideas. *Im going*, she decided. She arrived in her plain clothes, clutching her briefcase. The crowd snickered, muttered, eyed her with scorn.
Still, she marched straight to the front.
*”Id like to say something,”* she asked. The host cut her off sharply:
*”We wont let some penniless stranger ruin our event.”*
Then a well-known tycoon stood.
*”If shes bold enough to come, she must have something worth hearing.”*
They handed her the microphone. Emily took a breath, opened her briefcase, and pulled out a carefully folded sheet.
*”Months ago, I had a dream. I saw a car unlike anything ever built and I know I can make it real.”*
The tycoon studied the design, eyes widening.
*”This is more groundbreaking than anything here today.”*
He took her to lunch, listened to her story, and by the end, theyd signed a deal. Within a year, Emily owned the largest car dealership in Manchester. She never tossed that old briefcaseit reminded her where she started.
Remember this: people will judge what they see, laugh at what they dont grasp, and some will slam the door before you speak. But if you hold fast to your vision, one day, those same voices that doubted will watch you rise. And youll walk tall, knowing no one ever killed your dream.
