Linda’s son James got married five years ago. He and Bella worked hard and in two years managed to accumulate the starting amount and bought an apartment in a town close to the capital with a mortgage loan. And at the housewarming they pleased their parents with the expected addition to the family.
Today Bella is on maternity leave with the baby, and James earns money. The income is enough for the family and to close the mortgage. But a few months before the birth, Bella spent in bed. She was threatened with miscarriage, and doctors insisted on bed rest. James, these two months, cleaned himself. Linda often visited them. She washed and ironed all the clothes. She put them neatly in the closets.
And when Bella was already in the hospital, James invited a cleaner, and she made the apartment shine. And the first months, while doctors and nurses came to the baby, the apartment was kept in order. But the baby is already two years old, and the young mother neglects cleanliness and order in the house.
Today Linda came to her son’s home at the request of the latter. Bella had to go to the capital for a doctor’s appointment. Generally, if James and Bella need something, they bring their son to her. But this time they asked her to come by herself, because James’ car broke down.
At ten in the morning, the mother-in-law was already entering her son’s apartment. And she slowly fell into a stupor from the dirt in the apartment.
– Bella, what kind of a mess is this? – the mother-in-law came out of her stupor. And you’ve made a dump out of the apartment.
– I don’t have time to clean up because of the boy, – she tried to justify herself.
– To make a long story short. I don’t intend to stay in such filth! – Linda commanded decisively. – You’re not going anywhere until we clean up this mess.
– Are you kidding, Linda? Now my daughter-in-law is in a stupor.
– Not at all. If you don’t have time, you’ll have to make another appointment. I’m not gonna sit in this mud.
– You don’t have to. Go back to your room. We won’t bother you anymore.
Linda left the apartment and headed for the elevator…
