Hey love, you wont believe the mess Ive gotten myself into. I spent the last two years living in Spain, and when I finally got back to the UK I found out my son had surprise number one waiting for me.

Turns out my daughter, Emily, had married an Italian bloke, Marco. I moved in with them for a while, looked after my new grandbaby and kept the house tidy. Emily and Marco both work at the same firm, so they only ever get home in the evenings. I thought that would stay that way, but it didnt. One night they told me they didnt need my help any more and asked me to leave their flat. A month later I was back in my own place, only to discover I wasnt exactly welcome there either.

While I was still staying with Emily, my son Thomas split up with his first wife, moved out of their flat and simply moved in with me. He even brought his new wife, Lucy, whos pregnant, without ever asking if it was okay. Im stuck wondering what to do. I cant just kick them out, but how on earth are we supposed to squeeze three, soon four, people into a onebedroom flat? I gave Emily a call, explained the whole situation, hoping maybe shed understand and let me move back in with them. She didnt. She and Marco just have a different outlook on things.

Thomass side of it makes sense he didnt expect me back so soon. So now Im crashing on the kitchen sofa, sleeping on a futon.
