I left my wife and found new love! Enough of the drama!
Greetings to all reading these words!
I’d like to share my story. A story devoid of tears, pain, or regret.
No, this is not a confession of a miserable man, but rather a fairy tale. I still can’t quite believe everything that has unfolded in my life.
I was married for ten long years. A decade spent with a woman who betrayed me, treated me like a servant, and showed no respect for either my feelings or my dignity.
I endured it, thinking it was just part of the deal. I believed that family meant obligations, not merely happiness.
But one day I realised I was exhausted.
And I simply decided to leave.
I set off to find some peace.
I didn’t create scenes or raise a fuss. I neatly packed my belongings and made my way to a quaint little hotel out in the countryside.
I craved tranquility. I wanted to feel free, even if just for a few days.
I switched off my phone, indifferent to whether my wife would notice my absence.
I just needed to breathe.
That evening, I ventured down to the hotel restaurant, ordered dinner, and savoured the rare moments of calm.
And then I saw her.
I encountered her when I least expected it.
She was seated at the table next to mine. Beautiful, yet clearly deep in thought.
Her expression was sorrowful, her gaze somewhat weary.
I found myself thinking: perhaps she has her own troubles, far more serious than mine?
I had no intention of meeting anyone. But fate had other plans.
When she rose from her table and headed for the lift, I stood up as well.
As chance would have it, we were going to the same floor.
But just then, the lift unexpectedly got stuck.
A malfunctioning lift and a fateful meeting.
She became frightened.
I noticed her hands tremble, her breath becoming shallow.
I simply took her hand and softly reassured her, “It’s alright. We’ll get out.”
She looked at me.
And then I hugged her.
We stood there in silence, just holding each other in the darkness of the stalled lift, and for the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely at peace.
Once we were freed, we both laughed.
We introduced ourselves.
Her name was Victoria.
A new chapter in my life.
Before she entered her room, she turned around and asked, “Shall we have breakfast together tomorrow?”
“Of course,” I replied.
And from that day forward, we never parted.
I never imagined it could be so easy to find true love.
With her, I feel authentic. Alive. Free.
I finally realised that life doesn’t have to be a relentless drama.
Sometimes it just takes one step to let fate guide you forward.
Now I know: my fairy tale is just beginning. And may it last as long as possible.
