I left my wife and discovered new love! Enough of the drama!
Greetings to everyone reading these words!
I wish to share a story. A tale devoid of tears, pain, and regrets.
No, this isn’t a confession from a wretched soul; it’s more like a fairy tale. Because I still can’t believe this all happened to me.
I was married for ten years. A whole decade spent with a woman who betrayed me, treated me like a servant, and showed no respect for my feelings or my dignity.
I endured it. I thought this was how life should be. I believed family meant obligations, not just happiness.
But one day, I realised I was exhausted.
And I simply decided to leave.
I departed to find some peace.
I didn’t create scenes or raise a fuss. I merely packed my things and journeyed to a quaint hotel in the countryside.
I craved silence. I yearned to feel free, even if just for a few days.
I switched off my phone. I didn’t care whether my wife noticed my absence or not.
I just wanted to breathe.
That evening, I ventured down to the hotel restaurant, ordered dinner, and savoured the rare moments of tranquility.
And then I saw her.
I encountered her when I least expected it.
She sat at a nearby table. Beautiful, yet evidently contemplative.
Her face carried a sadness, her gaze rather weary.
I realised: perhaps she too had her own problems, ones far more serious than mine?
I hadn’t intended to meet anyone. But fate had other plans.
When she stood up to head to the lift, I also got to my feet.
It turned out we were heading to the same floor.
But the lift unexpectedly stalled.
A trapped lift and a fateful meeting.
She was frightened.
I noticed her hands trembling, her breath quickening.
I simply took her hand and softly said,
“It’s alright. We’ll get out of here.”
She looked at me.
And then I hugged her.
We stood in silence, just there in the dark lift, and for the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely at peace.
Once we were freed, we laughed.
We introduced ourselves.
Her name was Victoria.
A new chapter in my life.
Before she entered her room, she turned and asked,
“Shall we have breakfast together tomorrow?”
“Of course,” I replied.
From that day forward, we were never apart.
I had never imagined I could so easily find love.
With her, I feel real. Alive. Free.
I finally understood: life doesn’t have to be a relentless drama.
Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to take a step—and fate will show you where to go next.
Now I know: my fairy tale is just beginning. And I hope it lasts as long as possible.
