Three years ago, Laura and Michael became a family. All this time they had been living in a rented apartment and saving money for their own.
Eventually, they decided to buy their own house from a developer, but they had to wait for some time. They decided that there was no rush, and then they found out that their family would soon be growing.

It all started with an invitation to her sister’s birthday party. Laura was 8 months pregnant at the time. Of course, Michael’s sister wouldn’t have invited them if it wasn’t for the thought of an expensive gift.
After a few drinks, the sister looked at her brother’s wife and began to say that she did not understand what he saw in her and was convinced that they would soon break up. Michael tried to stop his sister, but she continued her monologue, saying that Laura looked terrible with that belly, that she had gained weight and her face was ugly. And the pregnant woman and her husband were ready to endure all this, if at the end the grieving relative had not said that she was probably not pregnant with Michael’s child, or rather, she was sure of it.
Laura did not tolerate this attitude and wanted to get up from the table, but because of the stress, she became dizzy, fell and started bleeding. She woke up in the ward, her tummy had almost disappeared, and for a moment she was in a panic that she had lost her baby. It was fortunate that a nurse was nearby and told her that she had been operated on, that they managed to save her and her son’s lives, but now she needed to be in bed.
Michael could not bear the thought that he had almost lost his beloved and son because of his sister, so he cut off all contact with her. Later, he cut ties with his mother as well, because she took her side and also insulted his wife.
Several years have passed. Laura is already expecting her second child, and Michael takes her hand at the table and says: “I would not be able to survive the day when I lost you both. And I wouldn’t be able to look at my relatives anymore. I only wish I had noticed their true faces too late.
Laura just reached out to hug him. She appreciated her husband and the fact that he was able to refuse to communicate with such relatives. Of course, you have to respect all people, but some people should be avoided and never allowed into your family, otherwise something irreversible can happen.
