I inherited a house in the country from my grandfather. But my husband and I had neither the time nor the money to take care of the house. We always had a lot to do. My husband and I just tried to come more often. We cleaned around the house, mowed the grass, so we could see that the house had an owner.
Sometimes our relatives came to visit us: my aunt and her family. But they only vacationed there: roasting kebabs and bathing in the bathhouse. They didn’t do anything else there.
And then our children grew up. My husband opened his own business, which began to bring in a good income. So my husband and I decided that we would build a new house instead of the old one. It was just so beautiful around: the forest, the lake and most importantly – it was very quiet. And we wanted so much peace and quiet after the noise and bustle of the city.
Of course to build a new house we needed a lot of money. So I asked my aunt for help. But she told me that she had no money and that she would never come to the dacha again.
– Do what you want there! I’ll never go there again. Don’t count on my help.
For three years my husband and I built the house on our own. We bought the necessary materials ourselves and hired builders. Our children also helped us a lot. All in all, we built a beautiful country house. I even planted a lot of very beautiful bushes and flowers with my children. In general, we got just a paradise. The whole family had a great pleasure to rest here.
And then one day an aunt came to visit us. She walked around the site, walked around the house. And then she said:
– You have done so well here! Well done! I will come here with my grandchildren! There’s plenty of room for everyone!
I was amazed at her insolence and reminded her that she refused to give me money to build the house and said she would never come here again. My aunt took offense at me, slammed the door and left. After that, she didn’t even call me. How can you be such an insolent person?
