I met Alice at a company party. At that time, I had just started working at the company where Alice also worked.
We worked in different departments, so I practically knew nothing about her. Alice immediately caught my attention – tall and slim.
We spent the whole evening dancing, joking, and talking. After the party, I ordered a taxi and escorted her home. The next day, I practically ran to work – I was so eager to see her as soon as possible.
On my way, I bought a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. Alice was happy to see me, and that’s how we started dating. We didn’t prolong the phase of romantic dates because we were both already in our thirties.
We decided not to wait too long, and I suggested that Alice move in with me. We lived, as they say, like in a fairy tale. Alice turned out to be an excellent homemaker. She was cheerful and had a lighthearted approach to life. No problems or complications.
I made a decision – I bought a ring and proposed to Alice. We started preparing for the wedding. When we were making the guest lists, it turned out that Alice had almost no one to invite. According to her, she only had distant relatives with whom she hadn’t been in contact for many years.
The day before the wedding, Alice went to a beauty salon with her friends to prepare for the big day. She left her phone at home.
I picked up her phone and wanted to take it to her since I knew where the salon was. But as soon as I got into the car, the phone rang – the screen displayed “Mom.”
I decided to answer. On the other end of the line, I heard the voice of an older woman. The woman immediately started accusing Alice – she said that Alice had completely lost her conscience. Not only had she abandoned her children with her elderly parents, but she had also stopped sending them money. She said the children were now sick, and there was no money for medicine.
I introduced myself and asked what had happened. It turned out that Alice had left her two children with her parents and moved to the capital in search of a better life. At first, she sent money, but later, she stopped.
Her parents were living on a small pension, and the children were growing and needed many things. I asked the woman for her bank account number and transferred money for the children’s treatment and food.
I canceled my trip to the salon. I returned home and packed Alice’s belongings. When she came home late in the evening – well-groomed, with a new hairstyle and manicure – I handed her the suitcases without saying a word. Alice tried to find out what had happened. I gave her the forgotten phone without saying anything. She quickly realized what had happened and tried to explain herself.
But I no longer wanted to listen to her or continue the relationship. After talking to her mother, Alice ceased to exist for me as a woman.
You can lie to men… You can manipulate and deceive. No one is without faults. But to abandon your children to elderly parents, not help them, and lie that you have no family… That’s too much. In my eyes, she stopped being a woman.
