I really wanted to have a grandchild or granddaughter. But it turned out to be just a pipe dream and here’s why. I have an only son. My husband died a long time ago and so my son is my life. I was so happy when my son got married. Kate- she’s a very kind girl and an economic person. They had a wonderful life, but they had one misfortune: Kate couldn’t have children.
My son took it easy, but I couldn’t reconcile myself to it. I wanted so much to have a granddaughter or grandchild! So I decided that my son needed another wife – one who could bear him a child. I started making scandals in my son’s family, especially after I found out that Kate wanted to adopt a girl. I didn’t understand how anyone could love someone else’s child.
I managed to get my way after all. My son divorced Kate. After that he started living in a rented apartment and stopped communicating with me. And my ex-sister-in-law had her dream: she adopted a little girl. Six months later her son came back to her, and together they raised a little girl, Victoria. We didn’t communicate for six months, and then we made up. I see that my son is very happy: he loves both Victoria and Kate. And when I met Vitoria, I fell in love with her too.
Now I buy her presents and go for walks with her with pleasure. I realized that my sister-in-law did absolutely the right thing when she adopted the child. My daughter-in-law is a great clever girl: there are so many children who have no parents, and they need love and affection so much…
