**Diary Entry**
I caught my husband with my best friend but they had no idea the revenge awaiting them would be unforgettable.
At just 32, I was certain I had the perfect lifea devoted husband, loyal friends, a cosy home. I was wrong bitterly and painfully so.
It all began that morning when he, getting ready for a “crucial business meeting,” was as enthusiastic as ever. His eyes sparkled, words tumbling out: “This is my chance, love. If all goes well, a promotions guaranteed.”
I was proud of him, doing my best to supporthis favourite dinner, a freshly pressed shirt, a tender “good luck” as he left.
An hour later, tidying up, I spotted his laptop on the side table. My pulse quickenedhis presentation *had* to be on there. Without hesitation, I grabbed it and rushed to the hotel where he claimed the meeting was held.
Stepping inside, something felt off too quiet. No music, no laughter, no lively chatter. The receptionist raised a brow when I asked: “A business meeting? Nothing like thats booked today.”
I froze. I asked her to check if a room was reserved under my husbands name. There was.
Reaching the right floor, I saw whats seared into my memory forever: down the hall, laughing and entwined, my husband and my best friend. My heart shattered. I wanted to scream, to sob, to lunge at thembut I tightened my grip on the laptop instead.
I decided my revenge would be flawless. The kind theyd never forget.
I stood in the corridors shadow, phone ready. My heart pounded, but my hands were steady. I took several sharp photoshim and her, wrapped together, with that look that once belonged only to me.
Riding the lift down, I immediately rang *her* husband. His voice was groggy, unsuspecting, but at my calm “You need to see this,” he arrived faster than Id expected.
We met in the lobby. I showed him the photos. He stilled, drew a slow breath, and in his eyes flashed the same icy resolve as mine.
Days later, divorce papers sat on both our tables. But the story didnt end there. The photos soon spread onlinesome “helpful” friend forwarded them through chats and social media.
Rumours reached my husbands employers. Instead of the long-awaited promotion, he got a blunt dismissal letter”terminated for breach of trust.” His reputation crumbled overnight: partners refused to work with someone capable of such betrayal.
As for me? I simply shut the door quietly behind him and erased the man who erased me. Sometimes karma arrives swiftly especially with a little nudge.
**Lesson:** Trust is fragile. And those who break it shouldnt be surprised when the pieces cut back.
