**Diary Entry 12th June**
I caught my husband with my best friend but they had no idea the revenge awaiting them would be unforgettable.
At just 32, I was certain I had the perfect lifea devoted husband, loyal friends, a cosy home. I was wrong bitterly, painfully wrong.
It began that morning when he, preparing for an “important business meeting,” was as enthusiastic as ever. His eyes sparkled, words tumbling out: “This is my chance, love. If all goes well, Ill finally get that promotion.”
I was proud of him, eager to support himhis favourite dinner, a freshly ironed shirt, a tender “good luck” as he left.
An hour later, tidying up, I spotted his laptop on the side table. My heart racedhis presentation *had* to be there. Without hesitation, I grabbed it and rushed to the hotel where his meeting was supposedly taking place.
Walking in, something felt off too quiet. No music, no chatter, no lively discussion. The receptionist raised a puzzled brow at my query: “What business meeting? Theres nothing scheduled today.”
I froze. I asked her to check if my husband had booked a room. He had.
Reaching the right floor, I saw what would haunt me foreverthere, in the hallway, laughing and wrapped in each others arms, were my husband and my best friend. My heart shattered. I wanted to scream, to sob, to lunge at them but I only gripped the laptop tighter.
I decided thenmy revenge would be flawless. The kind theyd never forget.

I stood in the dim hallway, phone ready. My pulse pounded, but my hands were steady. I took several clear shotshim and her, embracing, with *that* look that was once only for me.
On the way back to the lift, I rang *her* husband immediately. His voice was groggy, unsuspecting, but at my calm “You need to see this,” he arrived faster than Id expected.
We met in the lobby. I showed him the photos. He went still, inhaled slowly, and in his eyes flickered the same cold resolve as mine.
Days later, divorce papers lay on the table for both of us. But it didnt end there. The photos found their way onlinea “helpful” friend “accidentally” shared them across messaging apps and social media.
Rumours reached my husbands employers, too. Instead of the long-awaited promotion, he received a curt dismissal letter citing “loss of trust.” His reputation crumbled overnightbusiness partners backed out, refusing to work with someone capable of such betrayal.
As for me? I simply shut the door quietly behind him and erased the man whod erased me. Sometimes karma arrives swiftly especially with a little nudge.
**Lesson learned:** Trust is fragile. And when its broken, the pieces cut deeper than youd think.
