My wife and I thought for a long time about what to give him. After all, we wanted to please him and choose something he liked. Later, my plans changed, and I found out that I had to go to work. We warned my parents in advance. My father-in-law was understanding, saying that we would definitely sit together again. However, at the last moment, they said that I did not need to go to work. I was very happy about this, because I could go to my father-in-law’s birthday party and have a good rest.
Robert was surprised by my visit, but he said he was glad to have me at his celebration. My wife’s brother came to the birthday party with his family. We greeted my father-in-law and sat down at the table. There were many delicious dishes on the table.
Then there was a knock at the door. My father-in-law immediately ran to open the door. As it turned out, it was a longtime friend of their family, who was also my wife’s ex-fiancé. They were even supposed to have a wedding, but then Sarah met me. However, even so, my father-in-law did not give up hope that his ex would one day become Sarah’s husband. When I was called to work, Robert was even happy about it, so he wasted no time in inviting him to visit. Since then, my opinion of my father-in-law has changed a lot.
