Regina has been dating David for five years. Her parents and boyfriend are constantly persuading her to take the relationship to the next level – to marry him. David proposed to her six months ago, but Regina keeps postponing the wedding. David waited patiently at first, but lately he has become resentful. Her parents also constantly quarrel with her, they believe that a girl at twenty-five should be married.
Why doesn’t Regina want to marry David so much? She does not feel that he is the one. It is difficult to explain these feelings, so she does not even try.
In general, they have a very harmonious relationship. But something is not right. Recently, she has been liking a colleague from work more and more. But Philip was in a relationship, though he was not going to get married either. He said that he was still undecided in this sense. Regina felt that it made them closer.
“What if he is the one?” she thought.
But Philip made no moves.
At the end of the summer David put her in front of the fact: we will get married either in winter or in autumn. He was no longer proposing, but stating a fact. Regina with a stone in her heart agreed to marry him in winter to postpone it.
And when winter came, she could not stand it and left David for her parents’ house. Philip, by the way, did marry his girlfriend, and Regina lost interest in him. She is still waiting for that one and does not know for sure whether he exists or not. Maybe she just does not know how to appreciate good relationships?
