– Honey, why aren’t you getting ready?” Ingrid asked her husband, who was sitting in front of the TV. “You have a flight in four hours, right?
– Didn’t I tell you?” Vince gave her a strange look. I’ll fly next week.
– Oh, I see,” Ingrid said disappointedly and hurried to the bedroom to get her phone. Having sent a couple of texts to someone, she returned to her husband, sat down next to him on the sofa and also began to watch another show about animals.
The husband only strengthened his suspicions – his wife is hiding something. She too willingly sends him to gatherings with friends, on business trips. And does not even quarrel when he comes home a little drunk!
His friends unanimously told him that such a wife is just a gift from heaven, and he should rejoice, not look for pitfalls. But… The man had doubts. After all, he is ten years older than his beloved wife. Suddenly she got bored with him? And she found someone younger?
At least he was smart enough to keep his thoughts to himself. Accusing someone without evidence is a bad idea, he knew this as a lawyer very well. A man who doubts wanted to be one hundred percent sure of his suspicions. So he did something not very nice. He installed several hidden cameras throughout the apartment.
He went on a business trip with a heavy heart. His wife even worried whether her dear husband was too weak. It cost Vince a lot of effort to disown the thermometer and a pile of pills. Such care warmed the soul and gave hope that he was just imagining things.
The man did not want to watch the video online, too important work was waiting for him. He simply had no right to be distracted by family problems, being a true professional. Only in the evenings, when the work was done, he caught himself launching a program that broadcasted video. Of course, he immediately closed everything and put the laptop in the nightstand, away from temptation.
The week flew by like an instant. Here he is at home, seeing his wife off to work. He was given a few days off and he intended to spend them with benefit. Today, the man needed to find out whether their marriage is really strong, or long and irrevocably destroyed.
An empty table. Vince puts a laptop and a mug of strong coffee on it. One keystroke and the recording began.
At first, nothing happened at all. Everything as usual, cleaning, cooking… But later in the evening…
Vince watched in shock as his wife, who always dressed in the latest fashion, sat in front of the computer in a stretched T-shirt and strange shorts, and gamely tapped on the keyboard. Sounds and selective exclamations of teammates come from the speakers. Ingrid turned out to be a lover of computer games.
– Well, that’s not very good either, but everyone should have their hobbies, right?
He looked at the remaining days in fast forward mode. Nothing new he saw there, a few hours at the computer and the usual household chores. And most importantly, no strangers in the apartment, and no unplanned absences!
With a clear conscience, he closed the program. Feeling guilty for the unfounded suspicions, he decided to make a gift to his wife – he booked a table at her favorite restaurant.
