He dumps his son on me and thinks I’m going to look after him!

A few months ago I moved to the capital to start a new life. I really liked the apartment, the neighborhood was cozy, my son was happy with it, and the people were very friendly.

Our neighbors immediately came to greet us, asking if we needed any help, and we quickly found a common language with one of the neighbors. We also have sons of the same age, who started playing together and making friends.

The next day we had tea together in the morning, our children were playing in the next room. At one point, someone called her and told her that they were urgently called to work, as if it would not be long and she would be back soon, and asked me to watch her son for a while. I didn’t refuse, the kids were in the middle of a game anyway, and I had no plans.

But her “not long” stay lasted until late in the evening. I didn’t have her phone number, so we fed the kids and put them to bed. The grieving mother returned only the next morning, apologizing for a long time, as if she had not expected to be so long gone. I was outraged. A week later, it happened again, and I warned her that I would no longer babysit, because I had my own plans.

However, a few days later she decided that she would not ask me anymore, but would just leave the little five-year-old boy at my door. Of course, I couldn’t leave him there, so I took him to my place, but when she came to pick him up, I told her sternly: “That was the last time I looked after your child all day. Next time I’ll call social services and report that some mom dumped her child with me!”

After that, she doesn’t greet me anymore. Recently, I noticed that she now goes with her son to the neighboring house, apparently, she found another nanny there.
