Ever since she was a little girl, Victoria knew exactly what kind of life she wanted in the future. It was to be carefree and secure, to invest as little as possible and get as much as possible. However, everything had its price. So from a young age, the girl always looked after herself and her appearance, figure and intelligence. She had to hone her ideal qualities in order to pick up a wealthy gentleman. Such women do not buy for anything.
Victoria met Stephen last year. He was a real man of her dreams. He had a three-room apartment in the center, his own car and a profitable business – everything a beauty like her needs. After the first week of communication Victoria already knew that this guy should marry her. And it should be done as soon as possible, before someone more clever than her found.
Life itself made the girl turn on a real actress and use everything she had been honing for years. It is clear that Stephen could not resist. He also liked her very much.
Everything went according to plan, so Victoria relaxed a little. But at one of the parties, where the young man introduced the future bride to his friends, Victoria realized that this was not the end of the matter. As it turned out, she had a lot of competitors. All of them were also hanging around the rich man, trying to get a tidbit for themselves. So she had to act immediately.
She had to go to extremes.
The very next morning Victoria told Stephen that she was pregnant with his child.
She lied so that he could not get out of it and avoid the wedding. The young man himself, as a conscientious citizen, took the girl to the registry office. He thought that there was no time to delay – his beloved was pregnant. And Victoria herself was not even worried. She was convinced that as soon as they signed the contract, the real pregnancy was not so far away.
She wanted to celebrate the engagement. So Victoria gathered her friends in a bar and they happily sent their friend down the aisle, washing everything down with red semi-sweet. The heroine of the occasion had the most alcohol. Everything was so bad that they had to call Stephen to come for her.
In a few minutes, the newly-made husband was already there.
– What did you do to her? Why did you get her drunk? She is pregnant!
– Of course she is. She didn’t even tell us anything about pregnancy. She only mentioned the wedding.
Stephen thought about it. He took these words of his friends into account and decided that he would have to have a serious talk with his wife as soon as she slept. The next morning Victoria barely got out of bed.
Stephen waited until his beloved came to her senses and gave her a new test. Like, go and prove to me that we will soon become parents.
The girl tried to find excuses, but still burst into tears and confessed everything.
– You have so many fans! Before I know it, you will be with another one! And I didn’t want that!
– Who are you talking about? What girls?
– That hottie from the party who kept staring at you!
– You must be out of your mind! You should have talked to me normally instead of making a circus out of it! That was my cousin. She lives in England. And she just came here for a few days to visit her family. I didn’t even know you were capable of that, Victoria.
– I’m sorry. I did it all for us, – the girl washed her tears.
– For us? Well, I don’t know what you wanted, but for now I’m calling off the wedding. I have to think before building a future with you.
The wedding never happened. Stephen tried to explain to Victoria that he could no longer live with a person who got his way in such ways. And it is unlikely that she did all this because of sincere love for him. When you love, you do not allow yourself to manipulate the feelings of others.
