I have been happily married for ten years. My husband and I are raising two children, we have an apartment and we are secure. We try to give the children the best, so my husband works hard and earns a lot. Every day he comes home late in the evening and goes straight to bed.
One night my husband came in later than usual and went straight to sleep. I was finishing my book when I saw his phone light up and a message came through.
I never wanted to question him, because I always trusted him. And my husband didn’t have anything interesting, except for messages from the bank or the tax office… And then my curiosity won and I still read the message. I couldn’t believe what I saw in the closet, I thought it was a dream. Panic immediately seized me and I went to wash myself in the bathtub, where I spent the night.
In the morning, when I was preparing breakfast for my husband and children, I was in the usual mood. Every morning I prepare my husband’s lunch for work and put it by the fridge, but today he was not there. He immediately noticed and asked me what happened. I told him that he would find the answer in his phone. The message that his wife wrote to him had the following content: “Dear, congratulations to you, congratulations to both of us, we have a long-awaited son”.
He quickly finished his coffee, kissed our children and ran out of the room, saying: “Someone must have got the wrong number. I will be late, so don’t wait for me”. And I went to work. I just couldn’t calm down, I took the kids to school and called that woman. I wrote down the number at night. The girl’s name was Veronika and it turned out she was my husband’s employee. She calmly told me that she had been waiting for this child for a long time, and she did not know that my husband had a family. He said he had never mentioned that he had a family and did not wear a wedding ring to work.
Veronika understood me and began to pity both me and herself. She is young, beautiful and pretty, now they have a son. I could not comprehend it and went to my husband’s work. When I went to him during his working hours, he realized that it was no longer time for sacrifice and confessed everything. We decided to separate.
My husband never lived with Veronika. I don’t know anything about his life. He still provides for the children, but I can’t get over it.
