Every time I get to a neighbor’s house I’m surprised at the sterile cleanliness of their apartment. In the neighbor’s house there are no scattered things and every thing is in its place. When I look at her apartment, it seems to me that I have entered paradise.
I always look with envy at such housewives. No, my neighbor is not a housewife, she also manages to go to work. When she has time to restore order in the house God only knows, because she also, like me leaves early in the morning and returns only in the evening.
I decided that I just do not get to organize their life, so my house is always chaos: the designer rolls on the floor, the hut of chairs rises, the socks and clothes scattered. Even after a general cleaning order remains only a couple of hours.
To achieve perfect cleanliness in my house, I signed up for a course. There we were told that it was necessary to make a schedule of cleaning and follow it rigorously. But even the schedule did not help me, because if I put things in order in one room, all the mess gradually moved to another room. In the end, tired I decided that the schedule is not for me, and so gave up the idea.
Unlike me, my neighbor is a real cleaner; she manages everything! Only after a year I could understand the reason for the perfect order in her house. I found out that my neighbor sends her children outside all the time, regardless of the weather. The neighbor’s kids are either in school or out for a walk.
On the weekends, she feeds the kids and sends them out for a walk right away. Her neighbor’s children are quite noisy and they scurry around the playground from morning until night. Her children never run around the house, but stay shut up in their rooms, while she herself enjoys the silence. When my neighbor spoils her evening tea and watches TV, I am running around like a madman with the kids, because they can’t sit still for ten minutes.
After I shared my problem with my mother, she told me:
– Your kids have a childhood, and the neighbor’s kids have to grow up fast.
Does a house need perfect order if there’s no room for kids?
I love having tea with my spouse in the evenings and chatting with him about how someone’s day was with our kids sniffing around us. Sometimes my spouse and I run around with our kids and those are the happiest moments of our lives!
