Recently, my husband invited some friends from the gym to our house, we are over 50, and we often gather at our house with a glass of wine to discuss all kinds of books, among us there are movie lovers, and those who like to travel and share experiences. In short, we have fun. And the most courageous among our company is Vivian, she is 61, and Oliver, who is 67.
They got together recently. Vivian’s children reacted very adequately to their decision, but Oliver’s only daughter – Diana, reacted negatively to this fact, and convinced her father that she was interested in his money and apartment. By the way, in which Diana is also registered.
At 44, she has not created her own family, and prevents others from being happy. This is my personal opinion. Once during the meeting I noticed that Vivian is a little thoughtful and does not participate in our active dialogues. When I went to the kitchen to make tea, I asked her to help. She agreed, and in the kitchen, I asked her what was wrong; she refused for a long time, but then told me briefly. Diana, her stepdaughter, who is too aggressive towards her that she even started to be rude to her father and make scandals, defiantly comes to the kitchen when she and Oliver are having breakfast and counts the silverware, saying that she hasn’t stolen something there. It is, firstly, humiliating, and secondly, unbearable.
I advised her to be patient, because she needs time to accept it. But, you know, people sometimes do a lot for their loved ones. Like Vivian, for the sake of Oliver’s relationship with her daughter, she made a difficult decision to divorce him. At the next meeting of friends Oliver came to us alone…
