For example, I have been happy with my wife for many years and I can’t imagine that I would treat her badly, leave her. But there are many such examples. For example, my former colleague Vince got into such a story that you can’t envy him.
When Vince met Ida, he changed a lot. After all, before this meeting, at the age of 55 he felt like an old man. They had lived with his wife for 25 years. His son is already an adult, his daughter is a teenager. There was no romance with his wife. He lived in the usual rhythm, in which there were only gray everyday life. It was visible. Vince walked gloomy, dressed like an old man. Then a new accountant came to our firm.
It was Ida. She is a beautiful and cheerful woman of 45 years. And Vince somehow immediately revived with her arrival. Communication began between them, and then it grew into something more. Then he told about the conversation that happened between them.
– When are you going to leave the family?
– I don’t know how to tell my wife that I want to divorce her. And my daughter is now at such an age that I think she will take this news with a bayonet.
– Then stay with your wife and children. I’m not going to waste any more time on you. I have no shortage of male attention.
– Come on, Ida, you know I can handle this.
Vince soon confessed to his wife that he fell in love with another. She, of course, was upset, cried, but accepted his choice. But the children said that the moment he left the family, he died for them. They said they would not communicate with him anymore. But at that moment Vince did not think about anything. He wanted a new life, no matter what the cost.
Vince and Ida began to live in a rented apartment. He left his apartment to his wife and children.
Ida did not have her own apartment. She lived with her mother and was not going to invite him there. He really wanted to have children with Ida. She looked very young, although she was already 45 years old. She said that she never wanted to give birth because she was afraid to spoil her figure. And now she really wanted to have a baby.
– Ida, I am very happy with you. But I think we could be even happier.
– How so?
– If we had a child.
– I want to have a baby, too.
Vince and Ida were very excited about the idea. But the woman could not get pregnant naturally. They were examined in a paid clinic. It turned out that she could not give birth on her own. The only chance was to hire a surrogate mother. Surrogate mother services are not cheap.
Vince had to work around the clock to save up a decent amount of money. In addition, he got into a big loan. He even borrowed money from me. And finally, the couple’s dream came true. They found out that the surrogate mother they hired became pregnant. And what was their surprise when they found out that it would be twins!
But, as it turned out, Ida was not very happy with this news, and after a while she filed for divorce.
