A friend started an affair with a married man, but his wife turned out to be wiser

My friend at the time had just turned 25. She was young, slim, and beautiful. She started working for a travel agency, and soon began a relationship with the managing director.

The man was over 40, married, and raising two children. He began renting her a flat and showered her with expensive gifts. They were together for almost a year.

She was fully aware that the man had a family and that he didnt want a divorce. But, somehow, he began thinking it was time to leave his wife. His wife was aware of the affair.

He later admitted that his wife had started to suspect something was going on. But she never confronted him, never searched his pockets, nor checked his phone, nor raised a fuss.

This behaviour made the man feel guilty. His wife was gentle, affectionate, and caring. She took better care of herself, lost weight, and even changed her hair colour. A few months later, as the spark between my friend and the director faded, his wife came to work for the agency. She was hired as head accountant. My friend felt anxious every payday, dreading a confrontation. But the wife was always polite and courteous.

Over time, the director became distant from his mistress, who then began making scenes out of desperation. Meanwhile, his wife acted like a true charmer. Gradually, the relationship with my friend disintegrated, with the director preferring evenings at home. The turning point in this messy love triangle was a business trip the three had to take together. During the negotiations, my friend was rude, believing her position in the company was special because she was involved with the director.

In the end, she was worse off than the wife whod been cheated on. The director asked her to move out of the flat and told her their relationship was over. When my friend arrived at work, she was summoned by the head accountant and informed her services were no longer required.

To this day, my friend says she wishes she could forget the whole story, but she remains struck by the wifes behaviour, which she still admires.

The wife proved herself shrewd and resourceful. Her actions caused her husband to fall in love with her again, and now he absolutely adores her. Yet no one really knows how much she struggled, how much she cried, or how much she suffered. She managed to pull herself together, waited for the romance to fizzle, and then made her move. Thats how a wise woman acts.

But how do most women respond? The other 90% start yelling, threatening, and confronting their men. At that point, the man is swept up in passion with another! Who will he choose when faced with a nagging wife or a tender lover? Hes not thinking about how that sweet lover might become just as dissatisfied as his wife in a few years. He simply isnt thinking clearly.

And how did the wife figure this out? Of course, her emotions got in the way too. But life proves only the patient and wise ever win.

If you learn your husband is cheating and you feel like tearing into the other woman, try to pull yourself together. Calm down and think carefullyperhaps theres still a chance your husband will return. Head to the gym, book an appointment with your beautician, see a therapist, visit the hairdresser. Sign up for classes; take up dance lessons. Find an engaging job, or switch jobs. Begin to love and respect yourself!
