A Friend Found Herself in an Affair with a Married Man, but His Wife Outwitted Them Both

So, my friend from back then had just turned 25. She was young, slim, and really beautiful. She landed a job at a travel agency in London, and there she started seeing the manager.

He was over 40, married, raising two kids. He began renting her a flat and buying her lavish gifts. They were together for nearly a year.

She knew full well he had a family and wasnt planning on getting a divorce. But somehow, he started considering it himself, thinking it might be time for a change. His wife was aware of an affair going on.

He actually said his wife started suspecting something. But she never confronted him directly, never searched his pockets, checked his phone, or made a fuss.

Her calm approach made him feel guilty. She was incredibly warm, gentle, and caring. He started paying more attention to her, lost some weight, changed his hair colour. And after a few months, when the spark between my friend and this bloke began to fizzle out, his wife came to work for the company. She took the position of head accountant. My friend was terrified to go collect her wages, fearing some huge scandal. But the wife was always polite and courteous.

Over time, the manager grew distant from his mistress, who, feeling desperate, began to lose her temper and behave badly. Meanwhile, his wife carried herself with such grace and charm. Gradually, his relationship with my friend fell apart, and he started spending his evenings at home. The turning point came during a business trip the three of them had to make together. My friend acted rudely during meetings, thinking she had special status because she was involved with the boss.

In the end, she came off worse than the wife she was replacing. The manager asked her to leave the flat and told her it was all over. When my friend went into work, she was called in by the head accountant, who told her they didnt need her services anymore.

Even now, my friend says she wishes she could forget the whole episode, but she was so struck by the wife’s behaviourshe honestly admires her to this day.

The wife turned out to be incredibly wise and resourceful. She handled the situation in such a way that her husband fell for her all over again, and now he absolutely adores her. But no one knows how tough it was for herhow much she cried and suffered. She managed to pull herself together, waited until the honeymoon phase was over, and then quietly stepped up her game. Thats how a wise woman acts.

Most women, though? The other 90% usually kick off, get angry, glare and threaten their husbands. And the bloke, who’s head over heels at the moment with someone elsewhos he going to choose: a grumpy wife or a tender lover? Hes not thinking clearly right now, and doesnt realise the sweet new thing might one day become just as dissatisfied as his wife. At this stage, his head’s somewhere else entirely.

And how does his wife get this? Of course, her emotions are all over the place, too. Life has shown me that only those who are patient and act wisely come out on top.
