Kelly is 7 years old. She lives with her mother. But lately her mother has been sick. Her grandmother looks after her and her mother. Once, coming back from school, the girl accidentally overheard a conversation between her grandmother and mother. The grandmother said that they did not have enough money for medicine and that they could barely make ends meet. After these words Kelly started thinking how she could earn money.
Approaching the subway, she saw her grandmother standing at the entrance and throwing money on the cardboard. Kelly also stood near the grandmother and waited for money to be given to her. A little bit away from the entrance she saw a boy from her school. The next day this boy came and gave Kelly some money.
Kelly returned home in the evening. She saw that her grandmother was fighting with some aunt. She demanded that her mother sign the apartment over to her. And the grandmother told her to take Kelly to her upbringing.
In the morning at school, Kelly went up to this boy and told him everything. After school he offered her to go to their house to have lunch and play. Kelly agreed. In the evening, the boy’s father returned home. He told her all about Kelly’s mom and their situation.
Kelly looked at him scared, but he told her not to be afraid of him, because now they would go to her house. Arriving at the house where Kelly lives with her mother, the man was surprised. When he entered the apartment, he was horrified by what he saw.
The woman lying in bed, who was so thin and did not look very good, was the first love of this boy’s father. They talked and the woman told him that Kelly was his daughter. They took the woman to the hospital because her condition was getting worse every day.
The man did a DNA test and the result was positive. He did not know how to tell his wife, so he just asked her to stay with them for a while. But his wife knew that it was her daughter. Her aunt Kelly told her about it when she married the girl’s father.
