Mum Left Homeless with Three Children! Our Dad Stole Mum’s Money from Selling the Flat and Ran Off

Until the age of thirty-eight, my mum and dad struggled to have children, no matter how hard they tried. The doctors shrugged their shoulders and told them there was no clear reason. Mum eventually resigned herself to the idea of never being a parent. Dad, meanwhile, didnt seem bothered at all he always said, Dont worry, its nothing. It was as if he didnt really mind not having kids.

My mum felt hopeless, but she still prayed to God for at least one child. Whether by fate or sheer luck, I came into the world.

My mums joy knew no bounds. By then, though, my dad had become short-tempered with her and was frantic whenever I cried at night. One year later, my twin brothers were born. Mum praised God at the top of her lungs; finally, she was the happiest woman arounda real mother at last. But as for Dad? He didnt seem to care for children. Thats when he decided to pull a fast one.

He convinced my mum to let him sell our flat, claiming we needed a bigger one for the growing family. He said hed sell it, buy a larger place, and take a mortgage for part of it. Mum believed him. But the moment he got the money, he disappeared. Weve never seen him since and have no idea where he went.

Thats how my mum ended up stranded with three children and nowhere to go. She moved in with her parents. So the five of usmyself, my brothers, my mum, grandma, and granddadall squeezed into two bedrooms. My mum lost all faith in relationships and men. She worked incredibly hard, and raising three kids was no small feat.

That was how life went for a few years. Eventually, grandma passed away, followed by granddad, which gave us a bit more space, but it was a lonely time. One summer day, mum took us to the local park. There was a playground there, and we used to go often. On one of these visits, a man about her age approached her. He wanted to chat, but mum kept turning him away. We went back to the park several times until she finally relented, gave him her number, and they began to see each other.

Two months later, we moved into a spacious three-bedroom flat with Adam. He became our stepdad. To say our childhood became blissful would be an understatement. Adam filled the gap our biological father left behindhe celebrated our successes, comforted us through defeats, and supported us in every way. Were grown up now, and we call Adam Dad. Its clear to me now: a woman with children isnt always a burden. Theres always a chance at happiness. My father abandoned us, but Adam showed what a true man isa man who takes us in and makes us happy. Thats the biggest lesson Ive learnt.
