LOVE CONQUERS BETRAYAL
Sarah came into the lives of Elizabeth and Richard when their little boy, William, was just a few months old. She was far more than a nanny to the boyshe was his guardian angel. Elizabeth, so often preoccupied with her own affairs, bitterly noticed how her son sought comfort in the arms of that other woman rather than his own mother. When William turned eight, Elizabeth decided to be rid of her rival. Her husband Richard opposed firing their good and trustworthy nanny, so Elizabeth resorted to something underhanded. She hid her diamond necklace under Sarahs mattress and then called the police. Crying from the injustice, Sarah was sentenced to two years in prison. William screamed and clung to her as they took her away in handcuffs, but they forcefully separated him from her.
Twenty years slipped by.
William was now twenty-eight, a successful man in London, but his heart still ached for the woman who had been his true source of warmth. Meanwhile, Elizabeth fell seriously ill. Death seemed close at hand, yet it would not take herthe suffering was unbearable.
One night, overcome with emotion, she summoned her son and admitted the dreadful truth through her tears:

Sarah, he whispered as he embraced her. My mother asks for you Shes leaving us, and she needs your forgiveness.
Without hesitation, Sarah agreed to go with him. When they entered Elizabeths bedroom, the ailing woman trembled at the sight of her.
Hello, Sarah she whispered, extending a frail, shaking hand.
Sarah approached and gently took her hand in hers.
Forgive me, Sarah. Forgive me for what I did. I have sinned before God, and now I suffer. God wont let me go until you forgive me
Sarah looked at the woman who had once sent her to prison, her heart completely free of anger.
I forgive you, Elizabeth. I forgave you long ago. Rest in peace.
Elizabeth exhaled in relief. Her troubled features softened. She looked at her son one final time and turned her gaze to Sarah.
My son he is your charge now. Take care of him.
That same night, Elizabeth passed away. Sarah became Williams true mother, holding a place of honour in his home. William showered her with the care she had missed for so long. Before long, he met a wonderful woman and married her; Sarah gave them her blessing, just like a loving grandmother would for their future children. The truth prevailed, and kindness mended all wounds of the past.
